Abstract:Abstract: In order to screen proteins that interact with the envelope protein syncytin of human endogenous retroviruses, the bait plasmid Syncytin-pKT25 and genomic library plasmids were constructed respectively, and they were co-transfected into the competent reporter strain DHM1 cells. After screening for antibiotic resistance, the strains containing the interacting proteins were identified and a short peptide consisting of 31 amino acids was found. The interaction between syncytin and the peptide was verified by recombination and Co-IP validation. The result demonstrated preliminarily that the short peptide named SJ-1 is an interacting peptide with syncytin.
