Abstract:Abstract: The focus of this study was to understand the diversity and composition of bacteria among different species of spiders. Five species of spiders were collected from community park in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, and composition and diversity of the associated bacteria were compared based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing technology. The results showed that a total of 34 phyla, 421 families and 948 genera of associated bacteria were identified from the spider hosts. At the phylum level, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Firmi-cutes were the dominant bacteria (>1%) in all the five spider species. At the genus level, Sediminibacterium, Ochrobactrum, Anoxybacillus, Cupriavidus and Lysobacter were the dominant bacteria (>1%). Moreover, al-pha diversity analysis showed that all diversity indices of associated bacteria from Pardosa astrigera were the highest. The results of PCA demonstrated that environmental factors should play a significant role in the composition and diversity of spider-associated bacteria. The results provide a reference for understanding the spider-associated bacterial diversity, community structure and influencing factors in further research.
