Abstract:Abstract: Radiation-induced cellular senescence is a kind of the stress-induced premature senescence. Studies have shown that, under the external stress, the senescent cells will become swelling with decreased ability of proliferation, blocked cell cycle and enhanced activity of β-galactosidase. Also, the p53-p21 and p16-RB signaling pathways and miRNAs that regulate senescence in senescent cells were activated. Here the progress of radiation-induced cellular senescence was reviewed, and the regulation of two signaling pathways (p53-p21 and p16-RB) and miRNAs on the cellular senescence were emphasized to provide a basic experimental reference for the relevant studies.
