Abstract:Abstract: With the development of sequencing technology, next-generation sequencing has been widely applied in the field of life science due to its high throughput, increased reading length and significant cost reduction. It has also gradually attracted the attention of forensic scientists. Here, the advances of next-generation sequencing applied in forensic DNA analysis of difficult specimens were reviewed, and its development and challenges would be faced in the future were described.
