Abstract:Abstract: Lectin receptor-like kinases (LecRLKs) play an important role in plant resistance, hormone signal pathways and plant growth. The LecRK-ConA gene is a member of the Arabidopsis LecRLK family. Here, three primer PCR methods were used to identify the homozygous T-DNA mutants of LecRK-ConA gene. The analysis of cis-elements in promoter showed that LecRK-ConA gene had multiple drought, light and GA responsive elements. The results of real-time quantitative PCR showed that the expression of LecRK-ConA gene had tissue differences and it had the strongest expression in seeds after vernalization for four days. The expression of LecRK-ConA gene was inhibited under NaCl and mannitol treatments in Arabidopsis. The seed germination rate of lecrk-cona was lower than that of the wild type under NaCl and mannitol treatments. Furthermore, lecrk-cona mutants flowered early compared to Col-0 plants. The results provide a basis for further study on the function of LecRK-ConA gene involved in stress tolerance and flowering regulation.
