Abstract:Abstract: Estrogens can attach to estrogen receptors (ERs) in breast cancer cells, and then regulate cell growth and proliferation by the genomic and non-genomic pathways, participating in the occurrence and development of breast cancer. As a kind of typical xenoestrogens, endocrine drugs can inhibit cell proliferation by regulating estrogen levels in different target tissues. Therefore, in-depth research on endocrine drugs would provide guidance for the endocrine therapy of breast cancer. Here, the mechanisms of different endocrine drugs in breast cancer treatment are reviewed, and the possible targets related to ERs and their signaling pathways are discussed, aiming to provide references for potential endocrine drug research in breast cancer treatment.
