Abstract:Abstract: The modulation of integration field has important significance in the graphics background separation and contour detection of the biological vision system. In order to research the space frequency modulation characteristics of integration filed, firstly, the range of receptive field and integration type of each neuron were measured, then the inhibitory neurons were selected; Secondly, the Spike triggered gamma band local field potential (LFP) instantaneous energy was extracted by using matching pursuit algorithm and Hilbert transform; Finally, the modulation characteristics of integration filed energy were analysed by Spike triggered gamma band LFP instantaneous. 96 neurons which were collected from the rats’ primary visual cortex (V1) were statistically analysed. The results showed that: 1) The Spike triggered gamma band LFP instantaneous energy can be used as an effective index to analyze the modulation characteristics of integration field of V1; 2) The suppression indexes based on Spike triggered gamma band LFP instantaneous energy are significantly higher than the suppression indexes based on Spike firing rate and the gamma band LFP power (P<0.001). Additionally, the modulation characteristics of integration field are more obvious regular and more applicable for different rats.
