Abstract:Abstract: Mu jujube fruit were treated respectively using different concentrations of exogenous abscisic acid (ABA) and gibberellic (GA3), effects of exogenous ABA and GA3 on ripening and senescence in jujube fruit were studied. The results show that, with the increase of ABA concentration, the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) was increased firstly and then decreased in the tissue of jujube, while GA3 treatment the opposite trend; the content of Proline was first increased and then decreased slowly with the increase of ABA concentration, while was decreased linearly with the increase of the GA3 concentration; the content of vitamin C (VitC) was first increase rapidly and then decreased sharply with the increase of ABA concentration, while GA3 treatment the opposite trend; the catalase (CAT) activity was decreased first and then increased with the increase of ABA concentration, GA3 treatment has maintained a relatively low level. Showed that, ABA and GA3 as signaling molecules or exogenous hormone, effects on ripening and senescence is obvious in jujube fruit, and their physiological functions were restricted or antagonistic to each other.
