Abstract:Abstract: To investigate expression of IL-1β, IL-6 in the hippocampus of suckling mice with infantile spasm, tetrodotoxin (TTX) was injected into ventricle of suckling mice systematically to induce epilepsy seizures in suckling mice and establish a model of suckling mice with infant spasm. Then, imunohistochemical method and Western blot were performed to detect respectively expression level and content of IL-1β, IL-6 protein in the hippocampus of each group of suckling mice. The model of suckling mice with infant spasm was successfully established; Immunohistachemistry showed that number and staining intensity of tan positive cells were increased obviously; Expression level of IL-1β, IL-6 protein in the hippocampus of model mice was significantly increased (P<0.001), which higher rates were 57.7% and 44.4% respectively. Abnormal expression of IL-1β, IL-6 in the hippocampus may participate in the immune pathological process of infant spasm.
