Abstract:Abstract: Breast cancer is a very common cancer in women and caused by a complex combination of genetic and environmental factors. Here we investigated the effect of CYP1A1 Msp Ⅰ (m1 polymorphism), CYP1B1 Leu432Val, NET T-182C and DAT1-VNTR polymorphisms on the susceptibility of breast cancer in the Han population in Xinjiang, China. In case-control study of 144 breast cancer patients and 120 age-matched healthy controls, we found that C/C genotype and C allele of CYP1A1 Msp Ⅰ (OR=3.32, 95% CI: 1.24~8.86; OR=1.58, 95% CI: 1.09~2.31, respectively) and the high-risk combination genotypes of CYP1A1 Msp Ⅰ with CYP1B1 Leu432Val, CYP1A1 Msp Ⅰ with DAT1-VNTR and CYP1B1 Leu432Val with DAT1-VNTR (OR=2.43, 95% CI: 1.23~4.78; OR=4.53, 95% CI: 1.26~16.27; OR=2.98, 95% CI: 1.10~8.06, respectively) were associated with the increased risk of breast cancer. The polymorphisms of CYP1B1, NET and DAT1 exhibited no significant association with breast cancer. These results suggest that the CYP1A1 Msp Ⅰ polymorphism and the specific high-risk combination genotypes of CYP1A1, CYP1B1 and DAT1 contribute to an increased risk of breast cancer among the Han population of Xinjiang, China.
