Abstract:Abstract: The study and application of super high-grain-yield rice (SHGYR) have made important contribu-tions to ensuring food security. For decades, the photosynthetic mechanisms of super high-grain-yield for-mation of SHGYR have been systematically and deeply studied at home and abroad, and important progress has been made in the plant architectural and physiological characteristics of photosynthesis in SHGYR, greatly promoting SHGYR breeding and cultivation. However, the current research also has obvious short-comings. For example, there are few studies on photosynthesis of the new generation of SHGYR, such as Chaoyou 1000 and other materials, on the photosynthesis of SHGYR populations, especially under stresses, and also on the allocation and transportation characteristics of photosynthetic assimilation of SHGYR, etc. Intensive research into photosynthetic mechanisms of SHGYR should be needed in the future to make up for these shortcomings. A deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms of super high-grain-yield forma-tion would benefit the breeding and cultivation of SHGYR.
