| Research Progress of Sepiolite in Remediation of Heavy Metal Pollution in Agricultural Products and Water Bodies |

Abstract Sepiolite is a kind of clay mineral with strong adsorbability, which has strong superiority in re-pairing heavy metal pollution in soil and water. Herein, the repair mechanism and modification methods of se-piolite are introduced, and the research progress of sepiolite in reducing the content of heavy metals (cadmium, mercury, arsenic, lead, zinc and chromium, etc.) in agricultural products and purifying water heavy metal pol-lution is reviewed. Compared with natural sepiolite, modified sepiolite and its combination products have po-tential advantages of strong pertinence, good repair effect and wide repair range.
